Hi, I’m Caroline! My favorite book in the collection is Rabbit Hill. Though it is far from the fanciest book in our collection, it makes up for it with charm. It is a children’s storybook published in 1944 and we are fortunate enough to have a first edition. The cloth covers feature a floral design with a smiling rabbit in the middle, waving to potential readers.
The endpapers feature a map of the imaginary Rabbit Hill that shows all the spots featured in the story. On almost every page there is an adorable illustration of rabbits or other woodland animals, one page even has music notes you can follow along with to sing with the rabbits! It is easy to see why this book was beloved by children when it came out and that is why I think it is the most beautiful book in our collection.
