Description

Green sand-grain pattern cloth covers over thick boards with a very prominent beveling of the edges of the front and back covers. The back cover is blind-stamped with a floral and geometric pattern that looks similar to the emblem for the publisher. On the front cover the title is elegantly stamped and back-filled with gold leaf to highlight the two most important words of the title while the lesser words are gilted on the green cloth. The S of Song turns into a floral design. The editor is gilt stamped below the title. While on the spine, the entirety of the title is created by back-filling with gold. The author and the publisher's device are stamped to match the front. Geometric designs surround the title panels.
The endpapers are brown coated paper, and all the paper is made of wood pulp and darkened around the edges. The text is printed in two columns with a divider line. The only illustration is the publisher's device on the title page.
