SNOWBALL: THE BEAR WHO SAVED CHRISTMAS | JERRY GAMACHE, AND DEBORAH L. SPILLER, ILLUS. | HASTINGS, FL: WC PUBLISHING | 2012
The covers are a mint green glossy paper. The front cover has a child-like drawing of a polar bear wearing a red scarf inside of a dark yellow circle, and the title, author’s name, and illustrator’s name are printed in green. The back cover has an image of Santa and his reindeer flying through the sky to deliver presents. The spine is plain.
This book is a children’s picture book, and tells the story of how Snowball the Polar Bear saved Christmas from an avalanche that trapped Santa and his elves. The cover image and the illustrations inside were all printed on an ink jet printer. This book was written by Dr. Jerry Gamache, who was a psychology professor here at Flagler College for a number of years. Dr. Gamache passed away on May 16, 2013 in Jacksonville while this book was going through the publication process. It did not appear for sale until after his death.
